Stand and Deliver

I really enjoyed watching 'Stand and Deliver'. It was a nice interpretation of the real life of Jaime Escalante. I enjoyed watching the success story of the 18 calculus students. So many times we watch news and movies that show the failures and unsuccessful stories of people. It is refreshing to watch motivational movies such as 'Stand and Deliver'. The culture was slightly different. However, I believe there were also many similarities. I already aspired to become a teacher. This movie actually made me even more eager to attend college to receive my degree in education. I hope to view ‘Stand and Deliver’ again in the future.

"My Spanish courses..."

I remember very little content from my Spanish I course. However, I do remember the many days we spent looking at LOL Cats on the Internet and talking about my teacher's former experiences which were always very entertaining. I enjoyed taking Spanish I with my great and fun teacher but do admit that I cannot recall much information that I learned. I can remember basic things such as numbers, classroom objects, months, and foods.
I hope to have a better general knowledge of Spanish when I graduate from high school. I enjoy knowing the little bit of Spanish that I know now and love to speak the language for fun. I will definately focus more during Spanish II so that I will become better at speaking this interesting and wonderful language.
